Healthy Holiday Recipes from Beachbody and Shakeology
The Holidays are upon us and you may be looking for some delicious treats for your family and friends. I have some great news for you. You can make all kinds of healthy holiday recipes with Shakeology and still have the healthiest meal of the day! Beachbody Director of Product Development Anna Eriksson and her staff have been spending a lot of time in the kitchen with their blenders “cooking up” some great holiday recipes that will be healthy and great tasting. They also always accept wonderful ideas from coaches and customers alike, who come up with their own healthy holiday recipes using Shakeology and traditional holiday flavors. Pumpkin and peppermint are two favorites for this time of year.
The idea is to create some variety in the Shakeology shakes that still allow you to have lots of energy, and nutrition to keep you going and reaching your health goals. When you are drinking a health shake, you definitely want to have some different flavors to keep you motivated to drink it each day. These healthy holiday recipes will make it easy to get through the toughest time of the year when it comes to watching your weight. After creating all kinds of flavors in the Beachbody Corporate Office kitchen, the Beachbody staff had the difficult job of tasting each of the new healthy holiday recipes.
The long hours of experimentation seemed to pay off with some of the new flavors, while others just didn’t quite make the cut. There were four healthy holiday recipes that were definitely surefire winners. The first flavor is “Pumpin Pie”. How could it not be a favorite during this time of year? It has a great sweet taste that can be a snack or dessert. Another one of the healthy holiday recipes that made the grade is “Cranberry Relish Suprise”. It is used with the Greenberry Shakeology and if you like a tart treat then this one is for you. Next, is “Eggnog” for the Christmas season. Another of our healthy holiday recipes that is a must for this time of year. Make sure you use low fat eggnog in your shake to make sure that your calories stay low and you still get the healthiest meal of the day when you have your holiday treat. Finally, what is the winter season without “Thin Mint Treat”? If you like the popular Girl Scout cookies, then you will love this too. Some Chocolate Shakeology and a little mint extract is all you need for the last of our healthy holiday recipes for this years favorites.
